‘Concours Creer’ – First Senior Enterprise Winner Announced

The ‘Concours Creer’ competition, now in its 7th year, is organised in partnership with the Association of Economic Development of St. Brieuc, Cotes d’Armor Development Organisation and Zoopole. On the 31st May the jury announced the 5 winners who were awarded a total of 90,000 euros.

The ‘SENIOR ENTERPRISE’ prize worth 20,000 euros went to Mrs Anne Duncan, for the creation of the company RENERGY MARINE. A leading edge technology company which has developed a new propulsion system, combined with a highly innovative hull and control system. for fast boats and ships. These 3 technologies which are being patented produce a fuel saving 5 times greater than the present systems on the market, together with reduced emissions. Mr and Mrs Duncan are British nationals, but have decided to set up their company in Brittany, being a region which particularly supports maritime projects.

Of the 25 project applications received for the competition, 4 were projects from business managers over the age of 50. There were 4 main business sectors concerned: services to business, information technology, industry and manufacturing and biotech industries.
